1 – New Year’s Day

Experience the annual Unox New Year Plunge at Moomba Beach, starting at 12 pm. Embrace the tradition of welcoming the new year with a refreshing splash!

6 – Torch Parade

The Torch Parade marks the commencement of the Aruba Carnival Season as the inaugural official parade. Embracing tradition, the vibrant parade illuminated by bright lights will guide its way through the streets of Oranjestad, starting at 8 pm.

7 – Prins & Pancho Election

In Aruba’s Carnival tradition, the Prince and Pancho are significant figures. The Prince assumes the role of presenting the elected Queen to the public and accompanying her during her appearances. The Prime Minister initiates the royal court’s reign by ceremoniously transferring the Island’s keys to The Prince. Meanwhile, Pancho serves as The Prince’s personal assistant. His responsibilities include sharing humorous anecdotes and joining The Prince in his official duties. Both The Prince and Pancho are selected based on their regal attributes and comedic prowess, considering factors such as personality, educational value, and popularity with the audience.

12 – Children & Youth Tumba, Calypso & Roadmarch

Aruba’s young musical talents compete for the titles of King or Queen of Calypso and Roadmarch.

13 – Children & Youth Queen Election

The Children & Youth Carnival Queen election is when Aruba chooses its youngest Carnival Queens. All demonstrate their Carnival spirit through dance performances, speeches and carnival shows.

14 – Aruba’s Carnival Queen & Mrs Carnaval Election

Aruba selects its key Carnival figures: the Aruba Carnival Queen and Mrs. Carnival. These elected representatives lead all carnival parades and serve as ambassadors for Aruba globally throughout the year. The lively election event features skits, vibrant Carnival costumes, and joyful dance displays.

21 – Parada di Blaas (Children’s Balloon Parade)

Children’s Balloon Parade, is a cherished event in Aruba. This parade is a delightful spectacle featuring children adorned in colorful costumes, parading through the streets while carrying vibrant balloons.

22 – 28 | Aruba International Bike Week

The Aruba International Bike Week is an exhilarating gathering that celebrates the thrill of biking against the backdrop of Aruba’s stunning landscapes. Enthusiasts and riders from around the world come together for this event, enjoying scenic rides, live music, entertainment, and various biking-related activities.

25 – Betico Croes Day

Betico Croes Day in Aruba commemorates the legacy of Gilberto François “Betico” Croes, a revered statesman and political leader instrumental in Aruba’s path to autonomy. Celebrated annually on January 25th, this day honors Croes’ unwavering dedication to Aruba’s progress and his pivotal role in advocating for the island’s self-determination.

25 – Betico Croes Memorial 10K Run & 5K Fun Walk

Join the annual Betico Croes Race in Santa Cruz! This amateur road race winds through picturesque hills and residential neighborhoods, starting at 6:00 a.m. to avoid the midday heat. Explore the beautiful terrain and be part of this exciting event!

26 – Caiso & Soca Monarch Event

The Caiso & Soca Monarch Event in Aruba is an electrifying showcase of musical talent and Caribbean rhythms. This highly anticipated competition highlights the best in calypso and soca music, featuring thrilling performances and dynamic compositions that capture the essence of Aruba’s Carnival spirit.

27 – Children’s Parade Noord

This parade is a delightful display of youthful exuberance and colorful creativity. Young participants adorned in vibrant costumes march joyfully through the streets, spreading cheer and excitement. Families gather to witness this charming spectacle filled with music, dance, and an abundance of smiles, making it a heartwarming celebration during Aruba’s Carnival season.

28 – Grand Children’s Parade Oranjestad

This parade is a delightful display of youthful exuberance and colorful creativity. Young participants adorned in vibrant costumes march joyfully through the streets, spreading cheer and excitement. Families gather to witness this charming spectacle filled with music, dance, and an abundance of smiles, making it a heartwarming celebration during Aruba’s Carnival season.
